October 25, 2023
)O( ~~~ November Moon Energy ~~~ )O(
New Moon on the 13th ~)O( ~ Full Moon on the 28th
The November moon energies will have us wrapping up our winter preparations and are guiding us to finding clarity through study and care. The days are shorter and time for introspection and self care should become more abundant in the month of November, despite the Thanksgiving festivities. The Beaver moon or the Long Snow moon, marks the time when critters finish gathering their food stores, tend to their last preparations for the long winter ahead and hunker down for the big chill. Like them, we should take stock of our preparations and start our inward journey to self discovery and change. Enjoy the November moon energy my Luna Lovers!!!
- Farmer’s Almanac calls November’s full moon The Beaver Moon
- The Wiccans call it the Mourning moon
- The Native Americans practicing the Medicine Wheel call this the Long Snow moon
Interesting note; the moon is neither a planet or a star. The moon is a satellite of the Earth.

There is a 7 day period to work with the full and new moon energies;
3 days before, the day of and three days after.
So don’t get buggered up if you can’t swing the date of!
A good meditation for November Moon Energy would be ;
“Through gratitude and transformation, I strengthen my connection to the divine.”
The call to go inwards, will fully be upon us by November’s full moon, on the 28th, Let go of the outwardly, peripheral strings that bind you, yet do not serve you. Full moon’s energy is a good time for letting go. Anything that does not serve in your best interest or growth, in all things body, mind and spirit, let go during this full moon period. The new moon, on the 13th, is about about wrapping up final preparations for the winter transition and setting a clear intention for winter’s journey inward. Completing these steps fully, puts us on the path to starting our deeper descent, into the introspection of ourselves.
Your mental state is reflected
Have you heard the expression “As above, so below”? This is ancient wisdom pass down and rings as true today, as it did way back when. The Metal Element (the communicator) is at its strongest in November. Remember, the mind is the main wiring center and communicates to the body. The mind has limitless dimensions and possesses the ability to expand, focus, limit, contain and even close off attention to any detail. What happens in the mind, affects us emotionally and physically. “As above, so below.”
Meditation is a key tool in harnessing your thought processes.
A simple meditation practice can reel in, morph or change our way of thinking. Thereby influencing the emotional and physical outcome, of our thought patterns.
Life is nothing but a group of perspectives and there is an infinity load of perspectives just waiting to be claimed. One of the the most empowering and freeing things I have learned to do is, claim a new perspective. If I am not happy with an aspect of my reality/ a situation, I reach out and claim a new perspective, meditate, rewire and change my reality. It is that simple and works on everything.
Use meditation,
not only to find deeper meanings on your inner journey but to calm, nurture and nourish your whole being. Guided stone, candle, breathing, mantra and countless other meditations are available. Find the right one for you and take your time. If you are a beginner, chances are you will not be successful at a 30 min. meditation right out of the gate. It takes time and patience to master meditation. November is a great time to start, since we are just naturally “wired” to go inward during this time. Remember, it’s an inner journey, not a day trip!
What intention did you set at new moon, for your inner journey? Remember to incorporate this into your meditations.
Autumn, The Metal / Air Element & Imbalance Indicators
In October I wrote how the Metal / Air element governs the Autumn season. You may want to review this information, as it pertains to the month of November as well. Indicators that you may have an imbalance are; frequent moments of indecision, confusion, overindulgence, coffee, smoking and fatigue.
If you are beginning to embark on a meditation practice, cutting out drugs, caffeine, sugar and alcohol will help greatly. Not to mention, cutting these things out will greatly improve your lung, large intestine and immune system as well.
The Fall Diet
I went over the autumn diet in last months blog, so I will not go into great depth here. Meat and dairy intake will be on the rise but should be used in moderation. Balance them with seasonal (locally grown, if possible) fruits and veggies. Nuts, seeds and whole grains will also be abundant during this time. Eating things rich in vitamin B, will also aid in achieving a dietary balance. Take care not to overeat breads and sugary products during this time, as they will add to a sluggish system.
For the HERB of it!
Great herbs to introduce into your system at this time would be; comfrey and burdock root. Both are very effective for the lungs and aid in cell regrowth. Ginger tea is also beneficial for lung support and is a great way to warm up the insides! Check out your tea isle in the local supermarket and experiment around. GARLIC! Get cooking with it because garlic is as beneficial health wise, as it is smelly! This amazing herb aids in just about all areas of health. It is great for the lungs and is also an amazing immune booster.
And EXERCISE!
I cannot stress enough as to how beneficial this is to your body. Exercise gets your lymph and circulatory systems moving and helps to move out toxins. Honestly, I find a simple little walk just gets me moving forward in all things body, mind and spirit. You don’t have to become a world class Olympian, just take a simple little walk every day. Besides, HELLOOOOO, autumn = hikes!!!
Movement. Creating energy. Going Forward.
A possible mantra for the November moon energy cycle might be;
“There is great growth, that is found in a quiet place. ”
In closing:
Remember to be kind to yourself as we embark for deep inner growth and enlightenment. Life within our bodies will be slowing down during the winter months, despite holiday festivities and what not. During November’s new and full moon phases; wrap up winter preparations and set a solid, mindful intention for your inner journey. Take a quick look back, acknowledge what is not needed or is not “working” and let it go with the wind and the moonbeams. Sometimes it helps to howl with that wind on a full moon night, don’t be shy!!

*** I did a lot of time-consuming research on this. I do not mind if you use this for personal use, share with your friends, just share. I do mind if you copy and paste it as your own information. That would make BA very, very unhappy. So let’s keep the good mojo going and just leave everything intact. Thank you.
