Jerky Boy Tuna Recipe
Jerky Boy Tuna Recipe, I am seriously ruining it for us eating out!!! Another grand-slam for the, making it up as I go along B.A.
Tonight din din was;
- Jerky Boy Tuna steaks
- caramelized onion walnut topping
- over a bed of steamed green beans
- with my cucumber, mozzarella and some fancy tomato and toasted sesame salad!
- The salad was made ahead of time but everything else was done in 25 min. BOOM
Salad can be done ahead of time, so we will start there;
- slice or dice cucumber, tomato and mozzarella.
- one tablespoon of olive oil
- two tablespoons of rice vinegar
- crushed black pepper to taste
- I like to toast some sesame seed and garnish
♦ I do find this salad is better if it is made hours, if not a day in advance. I usually make a big batch of it and eat it throughout the week.
Jerky Boy Tuna
- tablespoon of olive oil in skillet and 1 pat of butter, melt
- slice up a Vidalia /sweet onion and add to the skillet
- while that is cooking, rinse fish and pat down, removing the water
- rub with Jerk seasoning
- after the onions have cooked down to a golden color
- push them aside and make room for the fish. Cook fish, 4 min on each side. (it really depends on how thick your piece of fish is and up to your taste.)
- during the last four min. of the fish cooking. throw in a hand full of slightly crushed walnuts
- while the fish is cooking….. steam up those green beans baby!
Plate up and enjoy!!!
