Can Snowflake Obsidian Energy Heal You?

People ask me all the time, can stones really heal you? My belief is; that stones and crystals can aid you in moving through dis-ease but no, I would say they are not a cure. I would not tell you to use them instead of going to a practitioner. I use them more like guides and I use them for meditation. You can check out my YouTube video, where I discuss this further.

Snowflake Obsidian–

Back in the stone age, Obsidian was used to make weapons and tools. It is not a stone but is naturally formed glass from lava. It is made from the same minerals as granite but due to the quick cooling process, due to exposure to air, the form never reaches the crystallization process. The little bubbles or crystals that do form during the quick cooling process, gives Snowflake Obsidian the beautiful patterns or inclusions that it has.

Obsidian has been used for tool making since 21,000 B.C.. It is thought to have been first discovered by an Ethiopian man named, Obsius, and was named after him.

Snowflake Obsidian is a “stone of purity”. It will help to balance the body, mind and spirit. It also will help to release negative ingrained thought patterns, allowing one to become more centered. This stone is also good for veins and skeletal issues. Use as a touchstone but not for long periods of time.This stone is will assist with clarity and logic. It is a stone that one will use to ground, and shield against negativity. It transforms the flaws from within, by using them to aid in useful solutions necessary for releasing them. This aids one in moving the body mind and spirit into a state of balance, helping to heighten our awareness of love and beauty.

Cleanse once a month under warm running water and recharge in sun among rock crystals

This stone is best to use on the hand and foot chakras

Mahogany Obsidian–

In stone age times this stone was used to make weapons and blades. It is for this reason it is called, the warrior’s stone.

It promotes logical thought, protects against anxiety, creates inner equilibrium, bringing strength in time of need and vitalizes purpose . This stone will stimulate growth on all levels. It is known to reduce allergies and infections while improving circulation.

To discharge, once a month, hold under mild water. To recharge place in sun.

This stone is best to use on the hand and foot chakras

December’s New moon shows up on the 13th of the month and the Full Moon slides in on the 27th. The Winter Solstice joins us on the 21st and signals a change in darkness but not before it delivers the shortest day of daylight in 2023! Because the month of December has the shortest days of sunlight it allows us to enjoy longer periods of moonlight at night. After the solstice the days will slowly grow longer. The November moon energies will have us wrapping up our winter preparations and are guiding us to finding clarity through study and care. The days are shorter and time for introspection and self care should become more abundant in the month of November, despite the Thanksgiving festivities. The Beaver moon or the Long Snow moon, marks the time when critters finish gathering their food stores, tend to their last preparations for the long winter ahead and hunker down for the big chill. Is one of the master healing stones. The Greeks originally called Amber electron, meaning “sun-gold”. Did you know that if you rubbed a piece of amber it will attract wood shavings and straw? This stone has been in use for over seven thousand years to help stimulate metabolism and to treat ailments caused by metabolic imbalances. It cleanses the environment, body and spirit. It enhances self healing and promotes decisiveness. This stone is associated with the solar plexus. Negative energy can make amber cloudy. To cleanse it, hold under lukewarm water.

Can Coral Heal You?

CORAL–

When Perseus decapitated the Gorgon, Medusa, some drops of blood splashed into the sea and solidified as coral. Charming story, I know, but the good news is, coral is said to consist of divine blood. It will protect against negative energy while preventing loss of energy. Don’t get all “Gorgon” on me but it’s recommended for menopausal woman for this very reason. It’s a wonderful aid for the circulatory system and for the skeletal system. It also allows the wearer to be immune to envy and resentment. This mineral is associates with the (red coral) root chakra (black coral) solar plexus (pink coral) heart chakra. The coral I use in my jewelry is authentic sponge coral and has been dyed to enhance its color. To cleanse your coral, you may place it overnight in dry sea salt.

JADE (JADEITE) –

The Mayans and ancient Egyptians believed that this stone aroused and preserved love. Jade symbolizes renewal and helps to harmonize. This stone is associated with the heart Chakra. Place the stone on your forehead for 15 min. If the stone does not warm up or it becomes opaque, cleanse it under running water. Recharge by placing the stone in an amethyst geode.

Hibiscus Bliss Cake, Cooking On The Fly With B.A.

Hibiscus Bliss Cake Recipe with

Cranberry Buttercream Frosting by B.A.

The neighborhood and the household have spoken! This Hibiscus Bliss Cake Recipe, hands down, surpasses all cakes I have ever made. The texture, the moistness, it will be half gone before you are done rolling your eyes in bliss.

A side note; if you are watching your sugar intake, this cake is so amazing, you don’t need the icing. The icing will blow your mind but the cake can stand on its own, it is that amazing. Cranberry Recipe , Cooking On The Fly With B.A.

The more important side note is; you will need my family cranberry sauce recipe for the frosting. And… I have not posted it yet. OOPS, sorry about that. Honestly, even if I did have it posted, you would be hard pressed to find cranberries this time of year (August). The only reason I have it made is, every year I freeze a batch or two. I have a fix though! All you have to do is take a favorite marmalade and use it in its place. The cranberry recipe will be up very soon.

What you will need for the Hibiscus Bliss Cake ( frosting instructions will come later)

2 cups of sugar (I use turbinado)
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of crushed dried hibiscus flowers
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of canola oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 cup of tea (I used a cranberry based tea. Pick something in the family of… NOT peppermint. You get the idea.
